Fictional books in Coptic apocrypha

چکیده
Coptic literature abounds with references to books that never existed as physical objects in their own right. This article explores the role of fictional specifically a selection apocrypha deriving from entire period literary production. Whether presented apostolic, prophetic, or angelic; earthly heavenly; historical contemporary, could function veracity devices, authority claims, materials for storyworld creation. Taking its points departure recent work on pseudo-documentarism, transnarrative storyworlds, and cognitive effects fiction, this implicit claims authenticity, well fuzzy boundaries interrelationships between factual meaning- world-making.
